A study by the University College London and Sutton Trust has found that children’s mental health problems have almost doubled since 2007.

A sample of 13,000 children in England shows 44% of Year 11 children have ‘probable mental ill health’ – up 23% since 2007. Girls fare worse than boys, with 11% attempting suicide.
